Designed for visibility and height, Aerodinamica TL answers the challenge of raising the wing 4 inches above stock height while being a lightweight 100% carbon fiber one-piece design that is elegant, beautiful, and looks like it belongs on the car. Sculpted to improve the aesthetics with a carbon form that enhances the GT500’s body lines instead of looking like an alien addition. It also makes improvements over the OEM piece with a redesigned base that uses an oversized O-ring to seal the decklid holes from water and moisture, all while being a fraction of the weight of its competitors. If you want the best, and if you require the tallest uprights, then Aerodinamica TL is for you.

gt500 is a supercar

Following the 2015-20 GT350R that redefined the Mustang, the 2020-22 GT500 with its 760 horsepower, Dual Clutch Transmission, and 550 lbs. of rear wing downforce pushed this Mustang variant firmly into the supercar territory. Benchmarked against the best from Porsche, developed on the track over five years, and tested in an F1 wind tunnel, the GT500 has all the features and all the performance to stand toe-to-toe with the greats from Italy, Germany, and Japan.

Not all carbon fiber is the same

Aerodinamica uses 3 forms of carbon fiber the same that is used in Formula 1 and planes like Airbus A400M, Boeing 787, FA-18 fighter, and the Eurofighter.

Prepreg carbon

Aerodinamica Prepreg

Prepreg carbon fiber is the same class of material used in Formula 1 and other top-tier motorsports applications. Prepreg material arrives with a precisely controlled amount of thermoset resin already infused into the fabric—hence the name “prepreg.” This optimized resin-to-fiber ratio produces lighter, stronger, and more consistent components.

Prepreg carbon fiber also delivers two additional benefits: increased heat resistance and greater structural strength.

Over 1.5 years of work, 40 different iterations, six major design changes, milling numerous different CNC metal molds, implementing 3D scanning, learning a new CAD methodology, and solving over 70 different individual problems is what it took to develop Aerodinamica. This project only exists because of those iterations and determination.

    The factory o-ring is prone to being crushed and deformed. This could allow water and moisture in, rusting the uncoated holes in the trunk that were drilled to affix the wing.

    Our design has an enlarged groove with a 2mm Buna-N O-ring that holds its shape and is replaceable. It creates the perfect seal protecting those holes from rust—protecting your investment.

    The OEM upright is injected molded carbon fiber. Painted black since the milled carbon does not match any of the carbon fiber on the car.

    Aerodinamica has a bottom that is focused on strength and on optimization of the size of the O-ring gland. It can accept 2mm-3mm O-ring rope.

TRACK TESTED

We tested Aerodinamica TL at Willow Springs International Raceway over multiple days—driving at 160 mph towards turn 1, and taking the long sweeping turns testing its performance. A championship-winning Porsche racer was behind the wheel for multiple laps pushing the aero to its limit. All of this to ensure that it is ready for whatever forces you can throw at it.

versus THE COMPETITION

Aerodinamica TL has the same elevation as the Code Red and Hyperion uprights, but the similarities stop there! Our competitors use a two-piece aluminum design that is bolted together making a heavy (approx. 1.5-2lbs) non-OE appearance. Whereas our uprights are 100% carbon fiber, weigh a fraction of the weight of our competitors (443g/.98lb per upright), and blend in with the body to compliment its natural lines.
